Aysel Atli, MD, MPH is a board certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty board certification in Pain Medicine. After successfully completing her graduate degree and residency program at UNC-Chapel Hill, she started a fellowship program in pain medicine at University of Washington in Seattle. She has been practicing pain medicine full time for the last 15 years with her focus being on interventional pain. Dr Atli has experience both in private practice and academics. During her academic career, she worked as an assistant professor and pain fellowship director in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Washington, and she taught interventional pain procedures to residents and fellows. For the last 3 years she has been working at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, treating active duty service members and wounded warriors with chronic and acute pain issues. She has found it to be very gratifying and rewarding to be able to help these patients whom she believes need the best care possible.
Dr Atli always felt Raleigh as her home, and she recently moved back to Raleigh to start her own practice Triangle Pain Consultants. She is very excited to be part of AIHF family and is hoping to serve the needs of AIHF patients and others in the community.
